DESCRIPTION
Al Waxman fonds [artifacts, graphic materials, textual materials, photographs, moving images and sound]; circa 1950s - 2001.
Al Waxman (1935-2001) was a Canadian actor and director, best known for his iconic role as King of Kensington. Along with his notable work in film and television acting, he performed on stage at the Stratford Festival in Stratford, Ontario, and was a founding member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. Waxman was posthumously inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame and is immortalized as a statue in Kensington Market in Toronto.
