DESCRIPTION

Barry Avrich Jack Pashkovsky fonds [photographic material, electronic and digital records, equipment]; circa 1935-1950.

Jack Pashkovsky (1911-2001) was an amateur photographer who became transfixed by the personas of Hollywood after emigrating to America from Russia in his youth. Pashkovsky took candid images of actors throughout his adult life but were never seen by the public until they were discovered by Barry Avrich in the late 1990s.

This collection consists of photographs and negatives of Hollywood stars between 1935 and 1950, created by Jack Pashkovsky and collected by Barry Avrich. Also includes recent digital scans of Pashkovsky's images.
