Mike Hoolboom fonds [graphic materials, printed materials, textual materials, photographic materials, video recordings, sound recordings, data discs, posters]; circa 1966-2016.

Mike Hoolboom (1959-) is a Toronto-based fringe filmmaker specializing in experimental short films and compilations of shorts including “Panic Bodies” (1998) and “Imitations of Life” (2002). He has been a key member of Toronto’s experimental film scene since the 1980’s and co-founded the artist-run Pleasure Dome and a magazine entitled the “Independent Eye”. Much of Hoolboom’s film-making is semi-autobiographical. He documents the struggles of living with HIV and showcases the Toronto fringe community.
